Katherine’s instincts were correct, and she found her most vulnerable child, Aïcha, inside the walk-in wig wardrobe, huddled asleep on the floor.

After being supplied with various blood weapons, by Anesidor Sumian, present Alexand refuses to leave her mother, Inajda in the cell.

Guild Master Anum Anzeti, along with Guild Masters Heyem Merek, Octavia Vijay and the rest of the Guild, watch as the captured Floating Asylum ship is transported to a holding cell on the outskirts of the Hungarian Kinjoutouchi, a heavily guarded Kyo-ashita city on Martial Earth. Octavia Vijay seethes, as Heyem Merek indulges in her victory.

Present Alexand, has not relented to Inajda’s request for her to sit patiently inside the containment cell, (see issue 586: The Prison of Souls Part 7)

After tying up the remainder of their prisoners on the ship’s bridge, The Guild Masters General and Hope watch from the observation windows, as the Haernyara and Kyo-ashita army begin disappearing from the sky.

After leaving Guild Master Merek’s official summons with General Merek De Somme, the Guild Master’s General watched Hope and Iosif from the shadow of the forest.

Professor Sumian’s Fourth Dimensional Training Grounds, in a far future bubble world, (4487) General Hope Merek De Somme, along with her uncle, Iosif Merek, has broken free of her duties for a while, to steal a sliver of joy. She has rigged a zip-wire up inside the old werewolf enclosure and is intent on spending the afternoon pretending to fly.

After twenty minutes of negotiation, the very stubborn Dylwyn Sumian allowed President Bomani and her companion, Samira Ganesh safe passage into his reinforced laboratory, so that they could collect Inajda’s debt.

Inajda is excited to see stashes of weapons stolen from Amanojuko strongholds, piled in places as high up as the cavern ceiling.

Captain Samira Ganesh has been ordered to retrieve Colonel Inajda Rekaya, so that she can be Court Marshalled for her association in the terrorist attack onboard the ship. She hovers in the sky above the Appalachian mountains.

After analysing Xan’s blood and determining that it is effective in neutralising Amanojuko DNA, Anesidor Sumian took Inajda to see her closest colleague, Dylwyn Sumian (no relation) to discuss weaponizing the blood for the resistance, so that they have a chance of fighting and defending themselves against these monsters in the future.

Inajda left Xan, Alexand and Jarad in the Prison of Souls, and with a vial of Xan’s precious blood, went searching for the elusive Anesidor Sumian, so that Sumian could synthesise Xan’s blood to allow it to create blood weapons to fight the Amanojuko.

Future Alexand had woken early, as instructed by her Guild Master (Future Heyem Merek,) she is ready to take a very nervous Anya to the past, to carry out a fake assassination, which will set a series of events in motion.

Anesidor Sumian waits impatiently as Alexand Merek’s demands for information increase.

Georges has barricaded himself into his mansion, after fearing retribution for funding the Katherine’s Bullet project. As he had predicted, his wife, Kavita had killed herself again, and he was alone, wandering his mansion, his writer full of weapons, in case Lord Anderson sent an assassin to break in.

The Guild Master’s General has been ordered by his Guild Master to assassinate a high-ranking member of the American Government in 3992. This politician would have risen to become a leading member of Filius Anderson’s Knights of the Amanojuko, resulting in the death of Anesidor Sumian, a key member of the resistance. The Guild Master’s General must take this agent out to save Anesidor’s life. (Story refers to issue 2: Anesidor Sumian)

Inajda watches helplessly and with quiet fascination as Professor Sumian conducts a procedure to determine whether Alexand’s baby is also immune to the ageing process.

Alexand is nervous to reveal what she learnt about her father’s death to Inajda, especially in front of Anesidor Sumian, but she takes courage in the fact they are both senior members of the resistance.

Professor Sumian analyses the bugs found inside Alexand’s house and metal finger.

Inajda is one of the few people who has been granted access to Anesidor Sumian’s Transient Laboratory. She and Alexand materialise inside the laboratory, hoping to find Anesidor Sumian.

Inajda takes Alexand with her to visit Professor Sumian, but Sumian’s transient laboratory is notoriously difficult to locate.

The ethereal Samira Ganesh escorts Katherine down a grand marble corridor. The ship seems quite empty, but there are a few straggling people, occasionally signalling their welcome to a new face on board. (This issue is dedicated to all those rebels who fight injustice in society, particularly the women who won the vote 100 years ago. Without them, and those who followed, I would not be in a position to see a future world inhabited by such strong and uninhibited women.)

Professor Sumian takes Katherine through electromagnetic energy waves, using her writer. They land on a ship, which is called the Kyuunansen. A rescue boat, housing two thousand rebels, and a race of warriors, called the Kyo-Ashita.

The very practical Inajda, who has been helping her get stronger, has speeded up Katherine’s rehabilitation. The day has arrived, for Katherine to be taken to the sanctuary, by future Anesidor Sumian, safely away from the reach of the Amanojuko.

Despite having remembered all the events previously erased by Future Anesidor Sumian, (the death of Farokh, and the fact Inajda came to Katherine to retrieve an inhibitor to slow Alexand’s illness) Inajda has been convinced that staying with Katherine is the best option. They are waiting for future Katherine to show up, with a future version of Alexand, and the promised cure for their Alexand’s illness.

Jarad had helped Alexand to walk away from Lord Anderson’s tomb, and heavily disguised, the two of them caught the train home, towards the village they grew up in. After leaving the train, Alex is finding it harder to walk, but she is too stubborn to let Jarad carry her. The village is a mile away, and Jarad is getting nervous.

Alexand and Jarad head towards the last room in the hotel, where Alex promises a solution to the problem of hiding Lord Anderson. (Thank you to everyone who has joined Alex on her journey these past seven years. To celebrate issue 300 and seven years on wordpress, Part 1 is released today and part 2 of the anniversary special will be released on Sunday 25th June, exactly seven years to the day of the first release back in 2010.)

Anesidor Sumian has been shown the future, by the mysterious Asenath Bomani.

Present day Anesidor Sumian has cut off all communication with Inajda, since she discovered tracking devices on Katherine and Alexand. She has severed links with the Indian resistance, whilst she re evaluates safety precautions. She doesn’t mind being alone. She has spent time researching the best combinations of location, to travel to, in order to avoid being captured by the Amanojuko tracking devices. Unfortunately this means that no one in the resistance can find her either, save one.

Professors De somme and Sumian, took a very frail but relieved Katherine to Inajda’s cabin in Russia (after giving her a blood shield) The cure has stopped her body degenerating further, and will allow her to recover in time, but she is very weak and can’t walk. They have left her on a bench outside Inajda’s cabin and told her they will collect her in a month’s time.

Katherine sits by the window in her laboratory, synthesising more inhibitor for the patients in the sickbay. She is getting nervous, today is the day she was promised a visit from a future version of herself, and the cure to her illness.

Inajda remained unconscious throughout the night. The future version of Anesidor Sumian has left her. Inajda wakes, inside her father’s cabin, some time in the morning. It’s the Fourteenth of May.

This future version of Anesidor Sumian has lived for hundreds of years. She is the creator of the writer, which the resistance use to stay alive. She has the ability to transport matter from one place to another, to store it inside a box, keeping it safe, like she had dreamed of as a child. She has to maintain time’s continuity, to ensure that her world doesn’t crumble. Unfortunately Inajda Rekaya is being rather uncooperative. (This issue is dedicated to my Mum, whose birthday it is today, and who is always there for me, when I need her, just like Mary Poppins, but a lot less scary.)

Katherine has decided to undergo a scan to determine how much time she has left.

Inajda has been working deep undercover as a socialite, in an attempt to infiltrate a new Amanojuko experiment, entitled “The Floating Asylum,” which the Amanojuko plan to use to cleanse the human population of any resistance. She has managed to get herself a pass, and using one of Katherine’s blood shields, she waits at the security desk ready to board the ship.

After leaving the laboratory, Katherine retreated to her apartment, and sat staring at the wall for what seemed like hours. Once she’d stopped staring, she packed a bag of overnight supplies and set off outside, with one particular place in mind. After a few hours of traveling she found herself outside her father’s mansion, hoping somehow this would be enough to satisfy her need for closure. With, Inajda and Anesidor unreachable, Alex in Australia, her laboratory occupied, and her appetite for reading diminished by her failing eyesight, Georges and Kavita De Somme are all Katherine has left to turn to. After Alex recovered from her injuries enough to see again, she and Katherine asked for Inajda’s help in locating the illusive Professor Anesidor Sumian. Sumian had mysteriously disappeared from radar due to the dangers faced by the resistance. Inajda has brought them to Sumian’s transient laboratory, so that Katherine has a greater chance of analysing the blood samples, with Sumian’s state of the art (and very illegal) technology.
