Beautiful drawing and character. You even captured the character of 19th century phrasing.
Thanks Lee, I’m glad you like this!
I agree with the comment above – and through your phrasing, you have also captured the atmosphere of 19th century London.
Thank you!
Eagerly waiting for the next part. This one has a fantasy charm to it.
Thanks, Praveen!
Deliciously intriguing – what a character! Please tell me he’s in the novel. And it’s a beautiful drawing, Cheryl! It’s really got the feel of the period about it. Do you keep an image reference file?
Hi Richard, thank you, and yes The Guild Master’s General is in the first novel (the second novel is called “The Guild Master’s General,”) I’m very unorganised when it comes to image files, although there are loads of backups just in case!
It would seem as though you are quite involved with Characters. I wish I could develop characters as nicely as this! I really like these, and will continue to check this out. This is great inspiration to develop better characters within my work. Great job!

Good to meet you, N and thank you. All the best, Cheryl.
Your illustrations become more wonderful with each new effort-Brava!
Thanks Elena, as always that’s a huge compliment coming from you! I think your paintings are awesomely (is that a word?) realistic, you’re very talented! 😀
Your creative abilities never cease to amaze me.
Hi Sheri, thank you so much, that means a lot to me.
It appears there it a conundrum between the protagonist experience with the less scrupulous aspects of life and his more humane feelings.
