Xan (Alexand) Medani is a farmer, who escaped the torture camps of Egypt as a boy. He grows flowers and rice and has been hired by Hong Kong Opera House to present their star opera singer, Edith MehXian, with a fine bouquet after her performance. Xan can’t afford to go to the opera, but heard Edith singing, whilst waiting backstage. He is rather nervous, as he thought her voice quite beautiful. CLICK Here for next chronological story.

Fantastic storytelling. You have a unique voice and have created a fascinating world.
😀 Thank you, Dave, I’m glad you like it!

Twin Daves! Hi! Thank you. Comic book fans should go and visit your blog and read your reviews. I’m looking forward to your future posts, good to meet you. Cheryl

Hi Cheryl……(Three would have been good, but I’m not a Dave)
I’m glad you liked my photos………..
Lovely to have a writer on my blog.
Hi Stuart! Where did I get the Dave from? I think I need some more coffee! Good to meet you, great photography. Cheryl
You are such a talented artist and storyteller. I enjoy your blog!
Thank you, Susan, that means a lot! 😀
Still love each and every little tidbit i can get and the visuals are stunning.
Thank you, Dan, I appreciate it.
I really enjoyed this
Thanks, Danny, I read An ode to the night’s sky, and enjoyed it very much. Love the photograph of the double rainbow!!
Wonderful Story! I’m sure I’ll be reading more of yours when I have time.
The illustrations are exceptional. How did you learn to draw like that?
Thank you, Ashley, I appreciate it. I was fortunate enough to go to art school, but the characters insist I draw them this way 🙂
Love the illustrations!
Thanks, Veronica, I loved “Contagion” too, and the ending made me smile! Good to meet you.
Thank you for visiting my writing blog, I love when I can add a little humour to the horror… lol!
LOL, humour’s one of the hardest things to write.
Tell me! Haha! I write mostly noir fiction… not a lot of laughs there! Lol!
😀 Yes, humour is easier in a longer story, so you did a great job with the dialogue in contagion. I’ll look out for more flash fiction. You have a diverse and interesting range of posts.
This is so enjoyable – your style of storytelling is really unique and I love the atmosphere you’ve created.
Thank you, Richard, that’s a big compliment. I love your photography because it’s very human. There are a lot of characters amongst the people you photograph.
Hello Cheryl! Xan—my favorite character’s(Heyem) grandfather?! Good to know… 🙂 Well told story, dear friend. Thank you!
Thank you! I love the camera flash on your main profile photograph! I just noticed it when browsing your about page. Glad you like Xan, yes he’s Heyem’s grandfather, and Edith is her grandmother. (It’s a happy story this time!) 😀
Oh, thank you! 🙂
Xan and Edith– so different from each other–but you managed to create a lovely romance, from those two characters. Brava!
Thank you! They’re real people to me, and I’m glad that translates in the stories! 😀
