Katherine’s instincts were correct, and she found her most vulnerable child, Aïcha, inside the walk-in wig wardrobe, huddled asleep on the floor.

After being left alone on the coast of Mexico, Kat returned home to their mansion, as they had a conference to prepare for regarding protecting Civil Earth from Amanojuko infiltration.

After being ordered by her present sister, Guild Master Merek, to ‘baby sit’ a past version of Heyem, future Alexand accompanies Heyem to Hong Kong, alongside their grandmother, General Edith MehXian (See Issue # 565: Guardian Angels Part 4)

After being supplied with various blood weapons, by Anesidor Sumian, present Alexand refuses to leave her mother, Inajda in the cell.

After explaining that she couldn’t return to Civil Earth with Kat, due to further obligations to the Guild of Time, Kat and Alexand attempt to steal a few more hours together, whilst Alexand waits for whoever it is that is ‘late’. (This issue is dedicated to everyone in the LGBTQAI+ community, particularly in the USA at this moment.)

Guild Master Anum Anzeti, along with Guild Masters Heyem Merek, Octavia Vijay and the rest of the Guild, watch as the captured Floating Asylum ship is transported to a holding cell on the outskirts of the Hungarian Kinjoutouchi, a heavily guarded Kyo-ashita city on Martial Earth. Octavia Vijay seethes, as Heyem Merek indulges in her victory.

Five hours have passed, and the last of the asylum victims have been taken to the Cloning hospital on Civil earth, to be assessed and given citizen status on the new world. Future Alexand watches with Katherine as Floating Asylum ship One is dematerialised to a quarantine area on Martial earth, where the Guild Masters, and her twin sister, Heyem will no doubt perform a full autopsy on it and on the experiments in Helga Ritter’s laboratory. (Happy New Year!)

Present Alexand, has not relented to Inajda’s request for her to sit patiently inside the containment cell, (see issue 586: The Prison of Souls Part 7)

After releasing the asylum prisoners from their cells, Alexand went looking for Katherine, and found her tending to Helga Ritter’s victims.

After taking a very long shower, Katherine departed with Captain Samira Ganesh, along with her colleagues, Jay Varma and Ajeeta Kothari and a medical team from the cloning hospital on Civil Earth. Samira took them to the aftermath of the battle, to where a captured enemy ship was docked in the harbour, and thousands of prisoners were being lead to freedom by the Kyo-ashita army.

The prisoners inside the asylum cages, some too weak to stand, others beaten and broken into shells of themselves, can hear whispers that something has changed inside the cells, can hear singing, and rattling of bars, hollers of ‘let us out!’ The cries of freedom, get louder and drown out the darkened despair of lives lost to brutality, to Lord Anderson’s war.

Helga Ritter was not on the lower deck when Alexand chased her footsteps. But Alexand knew Helga would escape, because the Amanojuko Lady had always escaped, and would forever in an endless cycle escape from this ship, on this day. She could not change this, no matter how much she wanted to.(Unbound Boxes Limping Gods is back after a break. Thank you to everyone for your support. The writer gives life to a story, the reader keeps it alive.)

After watching President Allerton distributing a Bad Thing Box to those amongst the Knights of Amanojuko who had not yet launched this experiment onto their populations, Lord Anderson materialised into the conference, joined his knights to a roar of praise. It was his intention to share his blood with them, and make them Amanojuko, as a reward for unleashing the Bad Thing Boxes on their countries.

From inside her bubble shield, Heyem looks on as more tattooed warriors are taken by Kyo-ashita, disappearing all around her, to appear moments later, some surrendering, some collapsing, others turning on the enemy, reinforcing the Kyo-ashita army, fighting the more brutal looking haernyara, those who can’t be saved.

Future Alexand, along with three versions of her grandfather, Xan, have battled through hordes of rabid haernyarn, ex socialites, scientists, and guards, corrupted by Lord Anderson’s promise of immortality.

Guild Master Heyem Merek and her mentor, Anum Anzeti, look down upon a floating globe, into a particular moment, to a battle which has already come to pass in their own time. They are accompanied by a courtroom of Guild Masters.

Back on Civil Earth in 1277 FD Alexand and Katherine’s mansion is emptying of guests. The children have made their way to bed, Inajda and her ex haernyara friend and ward, Anya, sit by the pool, as the full moon reflects on the water.

Lord Anderson has planted bugs all over Floating Asylum Ship One, and listens in complete resignation, from the safety of his castle in Moscow, as Helga’s ship is being taken over by the enemy.

Future Alexand, tormented by memories of her torture in a different life, battles her way towards the Guard Tower, alongside three versions of her grandfather, Xan Medani, to emancipate the captive inmates onboard Floating Asylum Ship One. (For Nana.)

The Guild Master’s General is making his way away from the family, towards the ship’s bridge, to where the captain of the ship and her crew have barricaded themselves inside to retain control of Floating Asylum Ship One.

General Edith MehXian leads the other generals towards the dormant battle, on Floating Asylum Ship One. To where three versions of Xan and one version of Alexand have already stepped into the Amanojuko nest.

As a furious Alexand stormed down into the lower decks, she is confronted by another warrior, a woman dressed in full battle gear.

Eldenath and her future family materialised on the mountain, 3992, overlooking the sea, where a Chinese woman, who she didn’t know, and her great aunt Heyem, (a younger, past version of Heyem) stood. The floating Asylum ship is in the distance on the horizon.

After witnessing her future twin furiously set off towards the battle onboard the Floating Asylum, Heyem was held back by her grandmother, Edith, on the mountain overlooking the growing carnage out to sea.

Future Alexand finally agreed to go with her grandmother, Edith, to the place where a fierce battle would determine their existence. Heyem materialises along with Alex and Edith, onto a mountain. It’s windy and overlooks the sea. Two women, one unconscious, the other missing an eye, lay on the grass. The one-eyed woman is talking to someone over a writer.

Retreating from the top deck, Helga Ritter rushes towards her laboratory, to secure the DNA samples of the cloned Merek twins. Her entire project has been compromised by the arrival of aggressive biological weapons, bearing resemblance to the original weapon, Xan Medani. (Unbound Boxes will return on Wednesday 6th December, as the writer has broken. Please catch up on back stories here. Thank you for your support.)

After Eldenath had walked her to her mother’s cottage in their grounds, and said good night, Aïcha still felt useless, and decided to head towards the walk-in wig wardrobe, which contained all her mother’s wigs, given by her fans, after she lost her hair. Kat didn’t want it in the main house, as it contained hundreds of wigs and took up a lot of space. But Aïcha, had a gift, and that was to style her mother’s wigs for her forthcoming world tour.

After cutting communication with a future version of Xan, Edith slept on Future Heyem’s sofa, as she was also feeling too tired to take part in battle. The sound of an owl wakes her from her sleep, and after washing and dressing, despite the fact it is now night-time in Cairo, Edith prepared herself and her granddaughters a cooked breakfast of baked flatbread, soybean milk and deep-fried dough sticks.

After allowing Heyem to apply her makeup and disguise her alopecia, Alexand took her past sister to Berlin 1926, in the height of the Weimar Republic, to one of her and Katherine’s favourite drag clubs, Damenklub Violetta, led by their dear friend, Lotte Hahm. (If you enjoy these stories, please consider donating to the Drag Defense Fund, a charity supported by the American Civil Liberties Union, fighting the current backlash against LGBTQ+ artists and people, who simply want to live their lives with the same rights as everybody else in this world.) Take me with you, Alexand, for I am dying here.

Heyem lays down next to her future twin sister, and her thoughts wander to the world she is running from.

After reading Guild Master Merek’s orders and ignoring them to pursue the remainder of her rehearsal, Ivana Cockatoo, threw herself into the most magnificent display of her drag career, even if it was only for twelve shady drag kings and queens and her husband, Antoine.

On her way back to her grandmother’s house, after walking her aunt Aïcha to the cottage, Eldenath heard footsteps approaching from behind. (Happy almost Birthday, Mum. You are one of the kindest, funniest and sweetest people on this earth. Thank you for all that you are and all that you do. Come on Barbie, let’s go party.)

After leaving Guild Master Merek’s official summons with General Merek De Somme, the Guild Master’s General watched Hope and Iosif from the shadow of the forest.

General Edith MehXian attempted to persuade Alexand to accompany her to Mexico, as per their orders received from Guild Master Heyem Merek. This version of her granddaughter is tricky and has an agenda which conflicts with her duty.

After escaping from the drunken debauchery in his grandmother’s wine cellar, Zero, teleported to the theatre, where rehearsals are taking place for his live performance tomorrow evening. (If you enjoy these stories, please consider donating to the Drag Defence Fund, a charity supported by the American Civil Liberties Union, fighting the current backlash against LGBTQ+ artists and people, who simply want to live their lives with the same rights as everybody else in this world.)

Gianti Dincrind has co developed a more resistant strain of the haernyarn virus, to administer into subjects onboard Asylum Ship One. She has been ordered to test these newly turned haernyarn on the biological weapons technology inside the cloned bodies of the Merek twins. (The Coast of Laguna, Mexico, 3992)

General Edith MehXian listens to her granddaughter’s conversation about past and future selves, Guild Masters, and Generals, sacrifice and protection.

After receiving her second consecutive orders from Guild Master Merek, a furious future Alexand transported herself from the sanctuary of her bedroom in Los Angeles, to her sister Heyem’s apartment in Cairo, ready to fight with Heyem about the relentlessness and frequency of her missions.

After a drunken future Katherine had fallen unconscious, future Alexand opened the letter addressed to General Merek. A letter from her Guild Master, and the catalyst for Katherine’s present intoxication.

Each month, Filius Anderson walks along his wall, with a chosen sleeper agent. He has picked Ye-shin, the agent who attempted to capture Heyem Merek, and failed abysmally.

Although future Inajda is very drunk, she is still aware of the magnitude of this meeting between her and the woman who sealed the past present and future.

Katherine, along with Ajeeta Kothari and Jay Varma had the remains of the bomb victims transported to their laboratory for forensic examination, to determine the identity of the victims and perpetrator.

After spending hours inside an isolation cell with Jarad, Alexand was relieved when her mother Inajda finally joined them in the cell. Unfortunately, Alexand learnt very quickly that Inajda was not there for her own protection but was being held as a prisoner due to her association with Anya Ranyevzsky, the woman Alexand had warned her about.

President Bomani and Samira Ganesh escorted their prisoner, Inajda Rekaya from the maximum-security laboratory, and took her to another maximum-security facility for processing. The Prison of souls. Generals Grace O’Malley and Xan Medani hover in the observation chamber, watching the captured Inajda Rekaya brief Alexand Merek from inside the holding cell.

Anya was knocked unconscious during the explosion and woke up to find herself lying on Future Alexand Merek’s sofa.

After a haernyara terrorist exploded a bomb in the Kyo-ashita training grounds, Jay Varma, along with Ajeeta Kothari and Katherine De Somme, were charged with forensically examining the remains of the three Kyo-ashita victims and the dead terrorist.

Posing as Kyo-ashita warriors, charged with the rehabilitation of the ex-Haernyara, Anya Ranyevzsky, Future Alexand, (Creya Johal) and her grandchildren, Eldenath and Zero, head towards the deck of the Kyuunansen.

Inajda left Xan, Alexand and Jarad in the Prison of Souls, and with a vial of Xan’s precious blood, went searching for the elusive Anesidor Sumian, so that Sumian could synthesise Xan’s blood to allow it to create blood weapons to fight the Amanojuko.

Future Alexand had woken early, as instructed by her Guild Master (Future Heyem Merek,) she is ready to take a very nervous Anya to the past, to carry out a fake assassination, which will set a series of events in motion.

Inajda thought it far too risky to take Alexand and Jarad to the Kyuunansen, as a temporary sanctuary, due to the fact Katherine De Somme is alive and well, onboard. Needing to avoid any potential encounters, (paradoxes) Inajda had no choice but to take her fleeing family to the most secure place in the whole world. The Prison of Souls.

Faced with an unstoppable indestructible Amanojuko in their home, Alexand appeals to Inajda, to help get out of this impossible situation. (Re: Longsheng, See Issue 299 The Unbound Box part 4, Issue 300 The Unbound Box Part 5 and Issue 326 The Search for Filius Anderson Part 8)

After leaving Farokh’s desecrated grave, Inajda showed Alexand more horrific crimes conducted by the Amanojuko. Posing as tourists with different pseudonyms they are back inside the walls surrounding Russia, outside a child breaking centre for Lord Anderson’s Haernyara army. (Featuring Ichitumbu Jalhavi. See Issue 34 Amanojuko part 2)

Helga Ritter stands alone in the cloning laboratory, onboard her Floating Asylum ship. She had ordered three agents to capture Heyem Merek, so that she could conduct more intense experiments into the bioweapon’s technology in the Merek twin’s DNA.

Heyem is still in a state of shock, after the attack, and has discovered that she not only has two unlikely saviours, but another one of her girlfriends is an Amanojuko spy.

Generals Xan Medani and Edith MehXian have been ordered by President Asenath Bomani to keep watch over Xan’s progeny, as the Amanojuko agents are taking particular interest in their twin granddaughters, Alexand and Heyem. Xan and Edith sit in the second row of Heyem’s lecture theatre posing as students. Xan has used a gender switch to disguise himself, as he believes Heyem could recognise him as a man. Edith being much younger than she was when she had died, remains in her own body.

Future Alexand finished the interview a few hours ago, and after the News crew had left, she retired to her bedroom, to get away from people, as she was emotionally exhausted.

Generals Edith MehXian and Xan Medani look on from a distance, phased out of focus, witnessing, but being unable to take part in, a past conversation between their adopted daughter, Inajda and their granddaughter, Alexand.

The Guild Master’s General managed to convince (Future) Alexand Merek to agree to a candid interview with the reporter Cordelia (Bizzi) Gray from 101 Downtime News. Bizzi has no idea how he managed to secure this interview, but Alexand allowed the film crew to set camp in her grounds, and after a wardrobe change and an hour with the network’s makeup team, the interview is ready to commence. (For my magical son, Sam. Everyone else thought it was raining, but you knew they were all wrong.)

Alexand (posing as a socialite tourist called Barbara) is still in shock as she attempts to come to terms with the horrors in Gianti Dincrind’s laboratory.

After taking possession of the man who could not age, (Eric Mehmed) or rather his dead body, Gianti Dincrind has cloned his cells and the cells of his twin daughters Alexand and Heyem Merek, and his dead son Farokh so that she can find out a way of fixing the glitches in Amanojuko DNA. So far, she has had very little success. (This story is dedicated to Jinkx Monsoon, and all the queens of RuPaul’s Drag Race, who have lifted me up throughout the pandemic. “A little bit of love, goes a long, long way. Lifting you up to a brighter day.”) Thank you to everyone who has supported Unbound boxes for the past twelve years. It, along with my son, Sam is my reason to feel alive.

Inajda and Alexand, disguised as socialites, Barbara and Susan Hendry, make their way to the lower decks of what Alexand discovers to be one of Lord Anderson’s Floating Asylum ships.

Alexand is tired, and cold, but her mother’s offer to show her the true extent of Lord Anderson’s campaign is far too tempting to turn down.

After realising Heyem did not wish to be protected by her, Inajda set search for Alexand, so that she could fulfil Asenath Bomani’s wish for Colonel Merek to gain full intelligence to the Amanojuko agenda.

Cordelia Gray wishes her film crew had been transported to Alexand’s garden with her, but the consummate reporter knows this is probably the biggest scoop of her career. She has a recording device inside her writer, which has captured the whole conversation, and she is hungry for much more.

The Guild Master’s General separates himself from the scurry of reporters and Alexand Merek fans, as the two women, the reporter Bizzi Gray, who he rescued not so long ago, and Alexand Merek, herself, approach. (See Unbound Boxes Limping Gods: Disconnected Stories. Issue # 28: Cordelia (Bizzi) Gray)

After letting Anya release the soul back into the last child’s body, Alexand and the rest of the Resurrection party realise that there is a commotion outside in the courtyard, involving fans dressed as various characters associated with their idol.

Cordelia (Bizzi) Gray is a reporter working for 101 Downtime News, which specialises in celebrity live news reports. She has just been given the heads up that the reclusive Alexand Merek has been spotted inside the School of Applied Resurrection. She has pushed her way to the front of the building, along with her camera crew, to where she can see Alexand Merek, beside her wife and a strange woman with tattoos on her face resurrecting four dead children in front of a school of Time Academy students.

The School of Applied Resurrection is the world leader in resurrecting the dead from the war battered original earth. Although still in its infancy, technology has advanced enough to grow cloned bodies in days, rather than months. Katherine has accompanied Alexand as she knows how much Alex has been looking forward to this day, since her younger self witnessed the murder of these children and wished she could do something to have saved them from their horrific fate.

Alexand and Katherine have got up early so they can prepare to take Anya to the School of Applied Resurrection. Alexand walks down the stairs into the lounge to join her wife for breakfast. (For Barbie. One of the most beautiful people in this world.)

Anya has never touched a piano before or seen musical instruments. She has not met women married to each other, or who are so free spirited. Such things are taboo back at the Haernyara Headquarters and will one day be placed inside the Bad Thing Box worldwide.

Alexand shows Anya to her room, although it is mid-day to the ex- Haernyara, who paces back downstairs to explore the mansion. Anya is not the first enemy slave that Alexand and Katherine have helped rehabilitate, but she is the most significant so far, in terms of affecting Alexand’s own past life. (For Tori. Thank you for taking me to the other side of the galaxy.)

Anya has watched Alexand Merek place each soul tube next to the children’s hair, inside bags, which she has marked with their names. (Happy Birthday, Dad, this is for you, wherever you are.)
