Alexand has returned from the bedroom after kissing goodnight to a very sick Katherine. She joins her siblings, hoping that they can support her at this difficult time. This episode is dedicated to David Prosser, who asked me a few weeks ago if the next issue could be “a bit more hopeful.” CLICK HERE for next chronological story.

Thanks so much Cheryl, I’m honoured. Your writing still carries a quality that maintains from episode to episode.I have to keep coming back. Now I shall come back with renewed hope. I’m a sucker for a happy ending, life doesn’t have enough of them. Maybe as you battle to find a cure for the AIDS like illness in our heroines, real life will echo that cure.

You’re welcome, David, it’s the least I could do to thank you for your support over the years.
Cheryl. I don’t know how this will end, and I like that. I’m sure the characters have a say in what happens. Perhaps the characters are telling you what to write. A great story!
Thanks, Lee, I know what happens, but Alex and Katherine don’t. It makes me feel guilty but I can’t wait to share the rest of this story with you.
Yes, A little hope helped! I think I too am a sucker for happy endings.
Me too, Fayesal, we all need hope 🙂
Hi Cheryl, I love these rallying moments (and Heyem just goes from strength to strength:) Your drawings of her are delightful). There’s such a fine balance to this issue – humour and deadly seriousness.
Hi Richard, thank you. Yes, I think Alexand’s description of Heyem as a dragon fits her perfectly, although there is so much more to her, which you’ll see in the future. If I want to make myself smile, Heyem usually does that for me (bless her)
I will be back. i want to read it again and then read part two. I was too tired to fully absorb, I love the illustrations.
Thank you, Sonni, good to meet you.
