Thank you, I’m glad you’re enjoying reading this story, it’s something I have to share, no matter how painful it is to write as well as read. Alex and Katherine are both very dear to me and it really hurts me too. I wish their lives were better, they deserve some happiness.

I am your 101st “Like” on this story, and as such, I’m going to comment quite emotionally. WHAT THE SH*T, Cheryl????!!!!! That was intense — and you really pumped up the weird and freaky for this one! Is Amanojuko their name, or is that what they are — ie., not a proper name, but rather, their, I dunno — species? Okay, now Alexand really has her hands full.
Ah, yes, the Amanojuko! They were first called that by their creator, Professor Filius Anderson, who was an old colleague of Katherine’s father Georges De Somme. Anderson was obsessed with the prospect of immortality, and was expelled from practicing by De Somme and fellow scientists, because they thought him unethical. Anderson funded his own research and eventually found a way to regenerate his own cells. He was the first Amanojuko, but created more people like him, so they really like to consider themselves as a different species, although they were originally human.
