  1. Wow, Cheryl, I am beginning to piece the characters together gradually. So, Ancille is Samuel’s sister. And now, I realise why Ancille and Alexand share such an interdependent relationship. It’s marvellous. I am so enjoying this and the illustrations.

    1. Thanks Vera, yes Sam is Alexand’s son along with his sisters Ancille and Anastasia. The story leading to Sam and Anastasia’s abduction hasn’t been published here yet, but I may write it one day. I’m glad the disconnected stories are starting to connect together.

  2. Hi Cheryl! Fascinating and sinister. Love the fog you’ve created for Samuel’s memory and the arrested development of his character. Great POV.

    1. Thanks Richard, yes I’m glad you caught onto that. Sam’s quite a controversial character for some test readers I’ve had for the first manuscript. Arrested development is a good way of describing his issues with memory.

    1. *Big grin* thank you so much, you don’t know what that means to me. It makes this even more worth while than I’d imagined when I started sharing these stories almost three years ago now. Hugs to you, Ionia 😀

  3. WOW, I am so impressed by the amount of work that you’ve put into this series. It’ll take me a while to get through everything you have here, but I’m looking forward to following along!

  4. Wow. Dickensian is the only word that comes to mind. You do the artwork as well, then, I assume? This is incredible — I’m so glad you put a Chronology on here because this is positively daunting. I feel very honoured that you’ve followed my blog, and only hope you find something there you enjoy. I’m going to try to find somewhere to start on yours and dig in.

    1. Hi, thank you, I’m also enjoying reading your work, and admire experimental story telling, so am very glad I found you. Pleased you like my work too and am following you on Twitter. You’re welcome here any time! All the best, Cheryl.

      1. If it’s experimental story telling you crave, may I return the favour and point you to a starting point – I’m doing a series of small fiction called What Fresh Hell — intro is here: http://wp.me/P3oLaI-ci This will give you an introduction to what it’s all about and a link to the stories.
If you have a recommended character of yours you think would make a good starting point, please recommend away!

      2. BTW, ‘John’ is a brilliant exercise and is ironically very imaginatively written, despite the fact you claim the opposite 🙂 You’re a talented thinker and that translates in your work.

  5. I am in awe of your writings. I have so much to put together, but it will be done. I nominated you for The Sunshine Award. See my post. Congratulations! You deserve it.
