Do you suppose they still listen to CCR in 4039, darling? Because I had “Born on the Bayou” stuck in my head before I ever reached the bottom and learned it was set in Louisiana. Very well done.
Music’s banned in The House of Plenitude, but Alexand would know that song, (as she’s obsessed with music) Glad you enjoyed Eldenath’s story. She’s one of my most precious characters too and also under used in these short stories (unlike in the books, where she’s a main character.) Thanks Helena!

Eldenath is 14 now. I cannot wait to read more about her when she is abducted by Alexand and told her father is not the monk she had thought he was. She seems to grow up to look as beautiful as Giselle. And possibly as talented. Also, Samuel! Boy, isn’t he gorgeous!
Hi Vera, I’m glad, in fact I may write another story about Giselle (You’ve inspired me to do so) and the story about Alexand abducting Eldenath and Sam, I’ve saved for the book, (along with other things I can’t mention here) so I’m really happy this interests you. (and yes, Sam is a handsome man!) 🙂 Sam’s story is next week, and I can’t wait to share that with you.

Eldenath seems to be doing what every writer does – living in her head to escape the reality that surrounds her. A beautiful character.

Dear cheryl, I am always in awe when I see your sketches, you are so talented. This one really caught my eye as it is exactly what I had in mind for a raised walkway in my mythology called the Imperial Highway that links up the towns and cities of various islands in my fantasy world, high above dangerous terrain where certain monsters and other hazards lurk.
