Also, that second drawing — with the sword and bow drawn — brilliant! And seeing the picture of Aunt Heyem makes me want to read more about her as well. I need more hours in my day.

We are the readers. We need to keep the story alive by reading the story. Otherwise, the writer wouldn’t be able to fix Ancille’s s wounds. I want to say more, but I am going to wait to see what happens to the saboteurs. (Ha! I haven’t been able to say that word for ages. Thanks to Cheryl, I have been able to at least think it! Those darn saboteurs!)

Me too, Vera, I love writing for Ancille and Alex as their relationship reminds me of the deep love I have for my own mother, who is just an amazing woman, and deserves to be immortalised in parts of Alexand’s personality. In a way I can capture the relationship I have with my Mum and keep it safe in fiction forever (Although she wouldn’t recognise herself!!) 😀
