Antun and Inajda are given food by their rescuers, (Xan Medani and Edith MehXian) and although relieved to have escaped the trail which killed their parents, both are in severe shock. (CLICK HERE for next chronological story)

The writer gives life to a story, the reader keeps it alive.

Just a suggestion+++++++
I would write your sentence a little different–such as:
I settled back and rested my head against the wooden seat. Still chewing on her bread, Inadja cuddled up to me as if I’m her mother’s replacement.
Cheers

Kenny, you’re a well travelled and prolific writer, and I appreciate your constructive input. Thanks again for taking time to read, although I’ll keep it like it is for stylistic reasons đ All the best. Cheryl
Hi Cheryl,
Thanks so much for the recent blog follow. It led me to your blog, which I am now following. I love ‘meeting’ fellow writers.
I look forward to reading more of your work!

Hi Nancy, yes it’s a very thought provoking time. Thanks also for visiting here, it’s good to meet you. Cheryl
Fantastic! The atmosphere and pace in this issue are perfect. And the close-up drawings are just right for letting the imagination wander. You right great adventure, Cheryl!
Thanks Richard, I’m glad you like this (as a longer story gives more away than I’m used to) Looking forward to posting the final issue in this set, and then it’s on to shorter stories again. (I don’t want to give too much away!) I always get jumpy with these longer stories for some reason.
Sorry I’ve not been by in a while. I’ve be travelling for a little while and only just getting back to ‘desk life’. It’s always such wonderful entertainment over here. I think your skills are wonderful!
Hi, Gabriela, I hope your trip went well and you had a good time. Glad you’re back safely, and thanks for reading.
