Violet Hodgkins has worked her way up to a lady’s maid. She had a strange request from her previous employers to relocate to the other side of London, where she would tend to the house of a wealthy Russian family. When she arrived at the house it was empty. (She was given a key to the back door) She found a note in the kitchen. CLICK HERE for next chronological story.

…. oooh and what is Violet going to find on her exploration. I love this
Thank you! 😀
Hi Cheryl! I really like that tension between Violet’s inner and spoken voices – it says so much about her character and inner strength. Love the drawing, and the fact that it and your drawings of Alex and The Guild Master’s General can exist in the same work.
Hi Richard, thank you, yes I wish I could say more about this. The universe is very big and this house is significant! (shusshhhh Cheryl…)
Please tell me your going to say more in future issues!
Violet’s had a previous appearance in Issue 23: Asenath Bomani. http://wp.me/pXe9M-e4 I may write more about Violet in the future now 🙂 although I have to be cautious with this particular episode…
Very nice. Concise yet dramatic.
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Wally, glad you enjoyed reading this story!

Thank you, Robb! 😀
You’re a talented writer, but your artwork is amazing. There’s so much time involved in illustrating this kind of fiction. Way to go.
Thank you, Geanie!
A new character? Intriguing! Sorry I haven’t been ’round for tea more, love — be preoccupied. I know, I know — no excuses. I do enjoy visiting, please know that. I always end up starting with the newest one and then browsing through your vast back catalogue like a nosy neighbour thumbing through your closet and trying on your clothes.
You’re welcome round any time, Helena, as I know you’re a very busy lady, it’s a pleasure to have you here rummaging!
Wow! is what i can say.
Thanks, Manuela!
Love the story and your illustrations! 🙂
Thanks Jonathan, glad you enjoyed reading!
