The School of Applied Resurrection is the world leader in resurrecting the dead from the war battered original earth. Although still in its infancy, technology has advanced enough to grow cloned bodies in days, rather than months. Katherine has accompanied Alexand as she knows how much Alex has been looking forward to this day, since her younger self witnessed the murder of these children and wished she could do something to have saved them from their horrific fate.
Alexand shows Anya to her room, although it is mid-day to the ex- Haernyara, who paces back downstairs to explore the mansion. Anya is not the first enemy slave that Alexand and Katherine have helped rehabilitate, but she is the most significant so far, in terms of affecting Alexand’s own past life. (For Tori. Katherine has grown impatient and as the fifth day of her recovery approaches, post-surgery, she is curious to peek out of her bandages, to find out if she can see properly, and more importantly, gain access to her laboratory. (This story is dedicated to my mum, as it is her birthday very soon. My mum, Barbara, is one of the kindest, wisest, warmest, happiness-inducing and funniest people I have ever known, and as some readers know, Alexand Merek is very loosely based on her, although Mum would probably disagree. Happy Birthday Mum, I love you so much xxx)
After a month of overseeing Katherine’s rehabilitation, Inajda has been left behind, wondering where future Anesidor has taken her friend. She has been accompanied by the mysterious future version of Katherine, who seems to have an agenda for her as well.
Professor Sumian takes Katherine through electromagnetic energy waves, using her writer. They land on a ship, which is called the Kyuunansen. A rescue boat, housing two thousand rebels, and a race of warriors, called the Kyo-Ashita.
Jarad returned to Nan Ha and spent the next few days sitting beside Alex, as she lay unconscious, trying to think of ways to tell her about Lord Anderson’s escape. (Thank you to everyone who has read these stories this year. I now measure time through releasing them, so this year has disappeared very quickly. Happy Christmas and best wishes for 2018)
Katherine is suspicious of Kothari, and despite all the signs she has changed her allegiance, Katherine has been highly trained not to give away information concerning the resistance.

Katherine recovered enough to join the siblings in the morning. Her illness hits her in waves. At the moment she is able to walk, and feels better than she did the night before. Katherine is woken by a familiar voice, after a long journey to reunite with Alexand. This issue is dedicated to my dad who died 19 years ago on 2nd December, a day after my 21st Birthday. My dad was a very clever and talented man and I constantly miss him. This is for you Dad. My stories and my world are dedicated to you. You died before I was old enough to know who you were. I will try to find you in my stories, to go to places far away from this world, to search for you. Maybe one day I’ll know you again. Until then I’ll keep writing. I’ll never forget you. A ship leaves the port for India in the morning. Most of Alexand’s brigade is scheduled to leave for home. As the commanding officer, Alex has orders to remain in Australia for the second part of the tour. It is night time, and she has finished her duties for the day. When Katherine and Alex returned home, Katherine went straight to bed as she felt exhausted. She and Alexand lie next to each other, contemplating their future. Farokh has left the laboratory, leaving Katherine and Alexand alone to conduct more research into the illness afflicting Katherine (which was injected into Katherine’s bloodstream by Helga Ritter, see Amanojuko Part 3) Katherine hasn’t slept for 24 hours. Alexand and Katherine have travelled to Alexand’s home village to get married. (As Alexand has a very large family, who couldn’t afford to travel to India, and none of Katherine’s family replied to the invitations) Alexand’s younger brother, Farokh is one of the guests. Heyem is Alexand’s “best Woman,” much to her delight. Even Alexand’s mother Inajda has managed to find time from her very busy military schedule to be there. Jarad Vijay has spent the past four years, bringing up his son alone, after his wife, Alexand, was taken and placed in an asylum for crimes against the military. Once released she woke from a catatonic state. Six months have passed since she woke. Jarad hoped her recovery would enable him to rebuild their lives as a family. Unfortunately, things aren’t that simple. (Jarad and Alexand grew up together as children. They were forced into the military at a young age. Jarad left, but Alexand remained a soldier. Their lives drifted apart until a series of events brought them back together. They were married after Alexand was widowed. Jarad believes she is still grieving for her dead wife, Katherine De Somme. He is very much in love with her, but this further separation in the form of Alexand’s imprisonment, has done little for their relationship. Alexand is very traumatised by her ordeal inside the asylum and Jarad doesn’t know if he can help her recover from it.) Trivia: Why has Alexand got metal fingers? Answer: Her fingers were severed by a samurai sword, during a mission as a young woman. (See issue 9:) The sword bearer was a man dressed in a black balaclava. He appears throughout time and place.
