  1. Hello Cheryl!
I really like how you made the outside light reflect off the hardwood floor and seem to “bounce” around the room. Well done!

    1. Hi Mark, thank you, I’m glad it worked. That’s a compliment coming from you. Have you drawn anything else recently for me to take a look at? As always I’d love to see more of your illustrations, as there is such depth to them. Glad you liked the shine in Abouna’s office. I wanted to emphasise the grandeur the high ranking officer’s are accustomed to in the military. As in real life, there’s a lot of poverty outside those walls.

  2. Your drawings are beautiful, this one though is such a difficult subject, but the light is outstanding. I also like the reveal!

    1. Thanks Mary, glad you like it. Yes it was quite difficult to draw, as I’m less practiced with drawing buildings (much prefer people) but it’s exciting to give the characters an environment (although I need more practice) 😀 I love your oil paintings, and wish I could paint colours like you, you’re a fantastic artist, and thank you.

  3. Aha, a missing key. I love it that it’s Alexand’s mum who sets the love story in motion. What a great drawing. It’s so atmospheric and communicates the subtle oddness of your fictional world so succinctly. Beautiful.

    1. Thank you, Richard, yes Inajda’s the catalyst for a lot of things that happen and her involvement in the “Introduction” of Alex to Katherine is one of those secrets I was really dying to let slip in a story!
